The Court of Appeal today advised the Commissioner General of Inland Revenue to discuss and resolve the issue concerning the decision to levy advance personal income tax on players of the Sri Lanka national cricket team.

The suggestion came during the hearing of a writ petition filed by Sri Lanka Test captain Dhananjaya de Silva and ODI captain Charith Asalanka, who challenged the tax decision as unfair.

The proposal was made by Court of Appeal President Justice Rohantha Abeysuriya.
