The exercise aimed to test early warning dissemination, community evacuation procedures, and coordination among disaster management authorities. It was carried out under the supervision of the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) with the participation of local government officials, security forces, and community members.
Such mock drills are part of Sri Lanka’s ongoing efforts to enhance resilience and ensure public safety during natural disasters.
