Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa held discussions with India’s Minister of External Affairs, Dr. S. Jaishankar, in New Delhi during his official visit to India.

Minister Jaishankar reaffirmed India’s steadfast support for Sri Lanka, recalling New Delhi’s crucial assistance during the island’s recent economic crisis. He emphasized the importance of utilizing this period to develop a sustainable, long-term recovery strategy for Sri Lanka.

Mr.Premadasa, meanwhile, expressed appreciation for India’s continued commitment to supporting Sri Lanka’s development and reiterated his intention to further deepen cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
