Police have recovered the bodies of four individuals who went missing after drowning in the Deduru Oya. The victims, part of a group from Kiribathgoda on a recreational trip to the Munneswaram temple, were swept away while bathing.
Area residents managed to rescue four others, who were admitted to the Chilaw General Hospital, with one in critical condition. Chilaw Police and locals had launched a joint search operation following the incident.
