Sri Lanka welcomes over 165,000 tourists in October 2025

A total of 165,193 tourists arrived in Sri Lanka between October 1 and October 31, 2025, according to the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA).

India remained the leading source market, with 48,113 arrivals during the month. The United Kingdom ranked second with 12,934 visitors, followed by Russia, which contributed 11,496 arrivals.

Meanwhile, as of October 29, Sri Lanka has recorded a total of 1,890,687 tourist arrivals for the year 2025.

Tourism authorities have expressed optimism that the industry will continue its steady recovery, driven by strong arrivals from key markets and ongoing promotional efforts.
