The All Share Price Index (ASPI) of the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) reached an all-time high today (Nov. 04), surpassing the 23,000-point mark for the first time in history during the morning trading session.

Market analysts attribute this significant milestone to renewed investor confidence, strong corporate earnings reports, and continued foreign inflows into the equity market.

The CSE has shown consistent upward momentum in recent weeks, driven by positive economic indicators and policy stability.

Meanwhile, the S&P Sri Lanka 20 Index (S&P SL20), which tracks the performance of the 20 largest and most liquid stocks, also recorded notable gains during the session.

Analysts expect trading activity to remain buoyant in the coming days, with market participants closely monitoring upcoming policy announcements and global market movements.
