The Supreme Court today (03) ordered the dismissal of three petitions filed by family members of former Minister Keheliya Rambukwella, seeking a writ order to nullify a Colombo High Court directive that imposed a property freeze on their assets.

The property freeze had been issued in connection with an ongoing investigation by the Commission to

Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC).

A three-judge bench of the Supreme Court, headed by Justice Janak de Silva, delivered the ruling after considering the preliminary submissions related to the petitions.

The petitions had been filed by members of Rambukwella’s family challenging the legality of the Colombo High Court’s order.
