According to the Commission, the probe will cover officials from the Sri Lanka Police, Tri-Forces, Prisons Department, Sri Lanka Customs, and the Department of Immigration and Emigration.
CIABOC stated that the move comes as part of a wider effort to ensure accountability and curb corruption within the public sector. In addition, internal investigations have already been launched against certain officers following complaints that revealed alleged links with organised criminal networks.
The Commission emphasized that all investigations will be conducted in line with the law and that any individual found to have engaged in corrupt or criminal practices will face appropriate legal action.
