More than 2,000 breast cancer screenings were conducted yesterday at Nawaloka Hospital in collaboration with the Rajaputhra Foundation.
Founder Sajeev Rajaputhra said the initiative was organized in response to growing public requests to extend the program to rural areas, emphasizing the foundation’s commitment to promoting early detection and awareness of breast cancer.
He added that similar health outreach programs are planned for rural communities in the coming months to improve access to preventive healthcare services.
The Rajaputhra Foundation previously held a similar screening program in Kandy, where nearly 100 individuals participated.
