During his recent official visit to the United Kingdom, Health Minister Nalinda Jayatissa met with Sri Lankan doctors living in the UK at a meeting organized by the Sri Lankan High Commission.
Addressing the gathering, Minister Jayatissa highlighted the current shortage of specialist doctors in Sri Lanka’s health service and made a special appeal for them to consider returning to the country.
He assured the doctors that those who choose to return would be reinstated in their previous positions with full service benefits, recognizing their prior experience and contributions.
