The promotion ceremony took place at the Army Headquarters, where Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo, commended their achievements.
A total of 59 Sri Lankan athletes represented the country at the championship, including 30 from the Army, whose efforts helped Sri Lanka secure 12 gold, 8 silver, and 7 bronze medals, for an overall total of 27 medals.
The Army Chief praised the athletes for their dedication and presented cash incentives to encourage continued success in future competitions.
