According to reports, a seven-member panel has already been appointed to the commission. The appointments have been made under the authority granted by the Women’s Empowerment Act No. 34 of 2024.
The Ministry states that through this commission, women will be able to file complaints related to challenges, harassment, and discrimination encountered in both government and private sector workplaces.
Furthermore, the commission will also provide necessary guidance with regard to ongoing cases concerning women before the courts, the Ministry added.
