Mr. Wickremesinghe appeared in court this afternoon in relation to the case.
During proceedings, Colombo Fort Magistrate Isuru Neththi Kumara directed the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to expedite its investigation into the former President and ensure that any suspects are presented before the court.
The Magistrate also instructed the CID to examine whether any contempt of court occurred during incidents linked to yesterday’s court proceedings and to report on those responsible, along with proposed actions, at the next hearing.
