A fire that broke out at an apartment complex on Dabare Mawatha in Narahenpita has been brought under control, authorities said.
Several residents who were trapped inside the building have been rescued, according to the Fire Services Department. Officials confirmed that two of those rescued are foreign nationals.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and investigations are ongoing.
