Two women and a manager running an illegal brothel center disguised as a massage parlor have been arrested by the Panadura Divisional Crime Investigation Unit.

The center, operating discreetly near a main school in Horana town, was raided following information received by Kalutara District Senior DIG Padmini Weerasuriya that school children were also frequenting the premises.

The three women, aged between 34 and 52, were identified as residents of Matara, Nittambuwa, and Colombo. Police investigations, including surveillance by an undercover agent, revealed that the women were being sold for money at the center.

The suspects were produced before the Horana Magistrate’s Court, where Chief Magistrate Chandana Kalansuriya ordered their release on three separate surety bonds of Rs. 500,000 each.
