A distinguished senior officer of the Sri Lanka Army, Major General Wanigasuriya has served the nation with distinction throughout his military and administrative career.
The Ministry of Defence, in a statement, noted that during his tenure as Chief of National Intelligence, he played a pivotal role in strengthening the country’s intelligence network and enhancing coordination among agencies involved in national security.
Major General Wanigasuriya assumed duties as Chief of National Intelligence in January this year.
