Sri Lanka’s Rumesh Tharanga claimed the gold medal in the men’s javelin throw event at the South Asian Athletics Championships held in Ranchi, India today (26).
Tharanga secured victory with an impressive throw of 84.29 meters, showcasing his exceptional form and dominance in the event.
Adding to Sri Lanka’s success, Sumedha Ranasinghe won the silver medal, recording a distance of 81.62 meters.
