According to Indian media reports, the suspension will be in effect from today (26) until the month of December. The decision has been taken due to the prevailing adverse weather conditions in the sea area between the two countries.
The ferry service, which commenced operations on October 14, 2023, has been functioning continuously, enabling smooth travel for passengers.
A large number of tourists, business travellers, and foreign nationals from both Sri Lanka and India use this service on a daily basis.
