Opposition MP Jagath Vithane told Parliament today that he is facing a death threat, which has been confirmed by the Inspector General of Police (IGP).
He said the IGP had instructed the Kalutara SSP to take necessary action regarding a reported plot to kill him while he is leaving his residence.
The MP urged Speaker Jagath Wickramaratne to take immediate steps in response to the threat.
