Parliament to Convene Today at 9.30 a.m.

According to the day’s agenda, the time from 9.30 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. has been allocated for Parliamentary business listed under Standing Orders 22 (1) to (6). From 10.00 a.m. to 11.00 a.m., time has been set aside for questions expecting oral answers, followed by questions under Standing Order 27(2) from 11.00 a.m. to 11.30 a.m

The session from 11.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. has been reserved for condolence motions in memory of late former Members of Parliament Lohan Ratwatte, H. Liyanage, Dixon J. Perera, Dr. Mervyn D. de Silva, Y. G. Padmasiri, R. M. R. Chula Bandara, and Manicavasagar Kanagasabapathy Elaventhan.

Subsequently, from 5.00 p.m. to 5.30 p.m., a debate will be held on a motion brought forward by the Opposition to adjourn the House.
