Sri Lanka Police have taken two buses allegedly connected to notorious underworld figure Backhoe Saman into custody, following a targeted operation led by the Western Province North Crimes Division.
According to police sources, one of the seized vehicles is a passenger bus operating on the Monaragala–Colombo route, while the other is a luxury coach used for tourist transportation.
Statements were recorded from the bus staff following the seizure, and they have since been released.
