Air Force deploys aircraft to curb drug trafficking

Air Force Commander Air Marshal Bandu Edirisinghe has revealed that three aircraft have been deployed for surveillance operations in the southern and western seas to combat illegal activities, including drug trafficking.

The Commander made these remarks during his visit to Kandy, where he met the Chief Incumbents of the Malwatte and Asgiri Chapters.

During his visit to the Malwatte Chapter, he called on Most Venerable Thibbatuwawe Sri Siddhartha Sumangala Thero, who highlighted the importance of coordinating with international authorities to curb the influx of illegal drugs into the country.
