The suspect, identified as a Group GPS Monitoring Manager of a private company in Polonnaruwa, was taken into custody in Polonnaruwa on Wednesday.
According to CIABOC, the arrest was made based on confidential information received by the Commission. The suspect is accused of forging a fake CIABOC identity card identical to the official one and using it to impersonate an officer to influence government officials in carrying out their duties.
He is expected to be produced before the Polonnaruwa Magistrate’s Court.
