Sec. Defence and Air Force Commander Inspect renovatio at Colombo Central Bus stand

Secretary to the Ministry of Defence, General Kamal Gunaratne (Retd), and Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa, conducted an inspection visit to the ongoing renovation project at the Colombo Central Bus Stand in Pettah, which is being carried out under the leadership of the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF).

The renovation initiative forms a key component of the “Clean Sri Lanka” national programme, aimed at enhancing urban cleanliness, modernization, and public infrastructure standards across the country.

During the inspection, the officials reviewed progress on the ongoing construction and beautification works, including improvements to passenger facilities, lighting, and waste management systems.
