A special security inspection will be carried out at the Parliament complex over three days in November ahead of the presentation of the 2026 Budget, Speaker of the House Dr. Jagath Wickramaratne informed Parliament today (23).
According to the Speaker, the inspection has been scheduled for November 4, 6, and 7.
He further stated that the entire Parliament building, including the Members’ lounge and wardrobes, will be subjected to the inspection process.
The security operation aims to ensure the safety and smooth functioning of all parliamentary proceedings during the upcoming Budget session.
