According to media reports, Hansamali had been questioned by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) over alleged links to the suspect.
In a Facebook post, Hansamali clarified that she had met Kehelbaddara Padme only once in March 2022 during a New Year celebration in Dubai, and that the encounter was purely casual.
She added humorously that Padme must have used her products since he now looks more attractive.
Hansamali firmly rejected claims of any financial or business dealings with Padme.
