Heavy rainfall and dense fog since yesterday evening (20) have disrupted daily life and vehicular movement in the western slopes of the Central Highlands.
According to reports, dense fog conditions continue to prevail along the Hatton–Nuwara Eliya and Hatton–Colombo main roads, as well as several byroads in the region.
Due to the reduced visibility, officers of the Hatton Police Traffic Division have requested motorists to drive cautiously with their headlights on and to maintain a low speed to ensure safety.
