The Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA) said that the technical issues which caused the recent disruption to the Lanka Government Cloud (LGC) services have been fully resolved, restoring access to all affected online government platforms.

ICTA assured that the security and integrity of government and public data were never compromised during the incident. “Throughout the restoration process, the highest data protection and security standards were upheld, and no data loss has been reported,” the agency said, emphasizing that assurance and verification processes were prioritized over the speed of recovery.

The agency expressed its gratitude to government institutions for their cooperation during the restoration period and to the public for their patience and understanding.

ICTA also extended special appreciation to industry partners for their swift response and resource deployment, noting that their coordinated effort treated the incident as a national priority and ensured a rapid return to normal operations.

Addressing reports circulating in certain media, ICTA clarified that the recent LGC disruption was unrelated to the planned migration to the newly contracted advanced cloud environment. The migration exercise, it said, had not yet commenced and was being prepared separately alongside the restoration work.
