Train services on the Upcountry Line were disrupted today after an intercity express traveling from Kandy to Colombo Fort at 3:00 pm derailed near Ihala Kotte Railway Station, the Railways Department confirmed.
Only one carriage was reported to have come off the tracks. Railway officials are working to restore normal operations and minimize delays for passengers.
