The vessel, identified as “Keshan Putha,” had six fishermen onboard when it set sail on August 31. According to police, the families of the fishermen reported that all communication with the vessel had been lost since October 16.
Authorities have launched efforts to locate the missing vessel, and the Sri Lanka Navy has been informed to assist in the search operations.
