Heavy rains lashed the Bhagwanthalawa area this afternoon, resulting in flooding across several low-lying areas and causing significant disruption to traffic.
Several roads in the lower part of the Kotiyagala Estate in Bhagwanthalawa were submerged, making it difficult for estate workers to travel and even reach their homes.
Authorities have advised residents in the affected areas to remain cautious as water levels continue to rise due to ongoing rainfall.
