The second edition of the maritime conference “VOYAGE SRI LANKA 2025”, organized by the Sri Lanka Export Development Board (SLEDB) in collaboration with key stakeholders from both the public and private sectors, was successfully held on October 16, 2025, at the Kingsbury Hotel, Colombo.
The event took place under the theme “Unlocking Sri Lanka’s Blue Economy Potential,” focusing on showcasing Sri Lanka’s growing contribution to the Blue Economy and its potential as a global maritime hub.
Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development Hon. Sunil Hadunnetti graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Addressing the conference, the Minister emphasized that Sri Lanka’s strategic geographic location provides a significant advantage for the development of the maritime industry. He further highlighted that infrastructure development plays a crucial role in maximizing this potential and enhancing the country’s competitiveness in the global maritime sector.
Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Export Development Board reaffirmed the SLEDB’s commitment to strengthening Sri Lanka’s marine and offshore services sector by promoting innovation, human capital development, and international collaboration.
The “VOYAGE SRI LANKA 2025” conference brought together industry leaders, policymakers, and international experts to discuss strategies to drive sustainable growth within Sri Lanka’s Blue Economy and position the island nation as a leading maritime center in the region.
