Sri Lanka Customs has reported the highest revenue collection in a single day in its history, achieving a record-breaking Rs. 2,470 million on October 15, 2025.
According to Customs data, the total revenue collected so far this year has reached Rs. 1,867 billion as of October 15. Officials stated that the department is on track to surpass its 2025 annual revenue target of Rs. 2,115 billion with ease.
The Director General of Customs commended the staff for their efforts in achieving this milestone, highlighting it as a significant indicator of the department’s improved efficiency and strengthened revenue collection mechanisms.
