Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya commenced her official visit to India today (16) with a meeting with the Indian Minister of External Affairs, Dr. S. Jaishankar, in New Delhi.
Following the discussion, Minister Jaishankar stated on X (formerly Twitter) that he was pleased to meet the Sri Lankan Prime Minister and that their talks focused on India’s continued support to Sri Lanka and strengthening cooperation in education and capacity building.
Prime Minister Amarasuriya will remain in India until October 18, during which she is scheduled to hold several high-level meetings, including with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
She is also expected to deliver the Keynote Address on “Steering Change in Uncertain Times” at the NDTV World Summit tomorrow (17).
