The government plans to transform the State Printing Corporation (SPC) into a broad-scope institution that will generate greater benefits for both the country and its employees, Deputy Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr. Madura Seneviratne announced.

He made these remarks during an official inspection visit to the main factory of the Sri Lanka State Printing Corporation, located in Panaluwa. The SPC operates under the Ministry of Education and plays a key role in specialized printing activities, including the production of school textbooks, ministry documents, and university certificates.

The primary objectives of the visit were to assess the institution’s progress, study its production processes, evaluate strategic planning for the coming year, and review employee welfare and development.

During the tour, Dr. Seneviratne observed the printing operations and held cordial discussions with employees. Addressing them, he stated that his main goal was to “maximize the contribution of resources by next year, expand the corporation’s scope further, and enhance employee satisfaction.”

He also met with the SPC’s top management to review current achievements and discuss new strategic plans aimed at strengthening the corporation’s role and meeting the targets set for the upcoming year.
