Former Minister of Labour and Foreign Employment Manusha Nanayakkara, who was arrested earlier today (15) by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC), has been released on bail,
Mr.Nanayakkara was taken into custody this morning in connection with an ongoing investigation into alleged irregularities during his tenure as Minister. He was subsequently produced before the Colombo Magistrate’s Court, which granted him bail under specified conditions.
CIABOC officials stated that further investigations into the allegations are currently underway.
