STF arrests five over massive drug haul off southern coast

The Special Task Force (STF) has arrested five suspects in connection with a large stock of drugs found by the Sri Lanka Navy floating off the southern coast.
Police said the STF also seized the boat used for the smuggling operation.
The drugs, discovered yesterday (14), included 670 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine (ice), 156 kilograms of heroin, and 12 kilograms of hashish.
