Residents of the Nallathanniya area say they are facing severe difficulties due to roaming herds of wild boars that frequently enter the area.

According to locals, these wild boars often break into homes and shops, causing damage to property and creating fear among residents. They also expressed concern that the problem could worsen during the upcoming Sripada pilgrimage season, posing a risk to pilgrims visiting the sacred site.

Residents have urged the relevant authorities to take immediate action to capture and relocate the wild boars before the start of the pilgrimage season, saying such a move would bring relief to both local communities and visiting devotees.
