Police said the transfer took effect from today (14).
The Mount Lavinia Magistrate’s Court yesterday (13) granted bail to the police constable, who had been remanded on charges of assaulting a lawyer at the court premises.
The incident reportedly occurred last Friday during an argument between the lawyer and the police constable.
