Colombo Magistrate’s Court has dismissed the anticipatory bail application filed by former Minister Manusha Nanayakkara, who sought protection from a possible arrest by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC).
The decision was delivered by Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama. Nanayakkara had approached the court seeking pre-arrest bail in connection with an ongoing bribery investigation.
