President Anura Kumara Dissanayake announced that the daily wage of plantation workers will be increased to Rs. 1,750 before the end of this year.

The President made this statement while attending an event held in Bandarawela today (12).

He emphasized that the government is committed to ensuring fair wages and improving the living standards of plantation sector employees, who play a vital role in the national economy.

President Dissanayake further noted that measures are being taken to address long-standing issues faced by plantation communities, including housing, education, and healthcare facilities.
