The Agri Expo Nuwara Eliya Agricultural Technology Exhibition commenced yesterday (10) at the Galpalama District Agricultural Training Center in Nuwara Eliya under the patronage of District Secretary Thushari Tennakoon and Central Province Agriculture Director Jayalath Bandara.
Organized by the Central Province Department of Agriculture, the exhibition will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on October 10 and 11, showcasing a wide range of agricultural innovations and technologies.
The event features demonstrations of modern farming equipment, improved seed varieties, agrochemicals, fertilizers, and healthy food products, as well as educational programs aimed at enhancing agricultural knowledge among school students.
Addressing the opening ceremony, District Secretary Thushari Tennakoon said the exhibition could help address many of the challenges currently faced by farmers and encouraged them to visit and take advantage of the new technologies and knowledge being shared.
