The opening ceremony will be held under the patronage of Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya.
This marks the 38th edition of the annual event, which will feature 31 team events along with athletic and field competitions.
Following the completion of zonal, divisional, and provincial levels, qualified students from across the country will participate in the national-level games.
Approximately 15,000 students representing schools islandwide are expected to take part in the team events, while another 15,000 athletes will compete in track and field competitions.
A total of 1,170 schools will be represented at this year’s Games, where winning athletes will be awarded trophies, medals, and certificates in recognition of their achievements.
