A total of 44,185 flights were completed between January and August this year, up from 38,607 flights in the corresponding period of 2024. August recorded the highest monthly traffic, with 5,976 flights.
Airport officials and airline representatives attributed the growth to strong demand ahead of the upcoming tourist season. They expressed confidence in handling the increased traffic while maintaining efficient service for passengers during the peak travel period.
