The Lanka Sathosa, has decided to release turmeric, salt, and sugar to the market under the Sathosa brand, its Chairman, Kosala Wilbawa said.
He said that packaging of turmeric and salt has already commenced, while discussions are underway to procure sugar for the corporation. The goods will be distributed through Lanka Sathosa outlets across the country in the near future.
He added that the initiative aims to support the government’s policy of ensuring the steady availability of essential commodities in the market and providing them to consumers at the lowest possible prices.
