Chinese community in SL donates Rs. 800,000 to Na Uyana monastery

A discussion on the progress of the recent China–Sri Lanka Cultural Exchange Programme held at the North Western Provincial Council auditorium took place recently at the Kurunegala Governor’s official residence.

The meeting was held between Ms. Amy Yang, representative of the China–Sri Lanka Cultural Centre, and North Western Province Governor Tissa Warnasuriya. 

The discussion focused on the cultural values of the North Western Province, upcoming development programmes, and potential Chinese government support for future provincial development initiatives.

Following the meeting, the Governor and the Chinese delegation visited the Na Uyana Aranya Monastery, where Ms. Amy Yang donated Rs. 800,000 to Ven. Agulgamuwe Ariyananda Thero, Chief Incumbent of the monastery, for the restoration of its damaged cable car
