The National Salt Company has handed over Rs. 100 million in dividends to the Treasury, demonstrating its strong performance in the second half of the year.
Chairman Gayan Wellalage made the official presentation to Minister of Labour and Deputy Minister of Economic Development Anil Jayantha and Secretary to the Ministry of Finance Dr. Harshana Suriyapperuma in Parliament today (07).
Mr. Wellalage noted that despite earlier production challenges due to a national salt shortage, the company has now reached its highest operational capacity and expects to record its maximum production income in history by year-end.
