Prime Minister and Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya said that school development plans should be prepared according to a common regional framework to ensure equitable distribution of resources.
She made these remarks during a discussion held with Provincial Education Directors at the Education Ministry on the development of schools under the government’s new education reforms.
The Prime Minister stressed that when developing schools, proper attention must be given to providing adequate learning facilities and infrastructure to ensure quality education for all children.
Dr. Amarasuriya also highlighted the need to restructure schools in a manner that promotes balanced growth and effective utilization of educational resources across regions.
