The Colombo International Book Fair 2025 comes to a close at 9.00 p.m. today (October 6) at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH), marking the end of another successful celebration of literature and learning.

Organized by the Sri Lanka Book Publishers’ Association (SLBPA), this year’s fair attracted an overwhelming number of visitors throughout the week. Speaking to ZiraDaily, Mr. Dinesh Kulathunga, President of the SLBPA, said that a large turnout reported on the final day as well, reflecting the continued enthusiasm of book lovers from across the island.

The 2025 exhibition featured over 500 exhibitors, including both local and international publishers, offering a diverse range of books spanning literature, education, art, culture, and technology. Beyond the book stalls, visitors also enjoyed interactive programs, author discussions, and cultural performances, turning the BMICH into a vibrant meeting place for readers, writers, and creative minds.

ZiraDaily captured some of the vibrant moments and book lovers’ highlights from the event.
