Thirty-two Police Officers-in-Charge (OICs) have been transferred with immediate effect, subject to the approval of the National Police Commission.
These transfers have been made on the instructions of the Inspector General of Police Priyantha Weerasuriya with the aim of strengthening police operations and ensuring administrative efficiency across divisions.
The transferred officers include OICs and Inspectors from various police stations and divisions across the island. Among the key transfers:

- P.C.P. L.A. Ajith Kumara – from OIC Wellawa Police to Inspector, Kayts HQ
- P.P. W.D.J.S. Prabath – from OIC Kapugollawa Police to OIC Wellawa Police
- P.P. R.D.P.S. Rajapaksa – from OIC Kapugollawa Police to perform duties of another post
- P.P. S.K. Gamage – from OIC Kesbewa to Puttalam Division
